RIYADH, Jan. 24, 2002 (AMP) — Saudi Arabia 2002 : Saudi Arabia defeated the United Arab Emirates by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Gulf Cup final round game (Tournament) on Thursday at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.

The result put the Saudi second in the group with 7 points. UAE is fourth with 3 points. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet third-placed Oman at the King Fahd International Stadium on January 27, while the United Arab Emirates will face Bahrain.
