Chelsea beats Derby County to advance to League Cup semifinals

DERBY, Dec. 16, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : Chelsea reached the semifinals of the League Cup with a 3-1 win against Derby County (halftime: 1-0) on Tuesday night.

Chelsea dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blues further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Filipe Luís '56 and Schürrle '82).
