Liverpool beats Bournemouth to advance to League Cup semifinals

BOURNEMOUTH, Dec. 17, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : Liverpool reached the semifinals of the League Cup with a 3-1 win against Bournemouth (halftime: 2-0) on Wednesday night.

Raheem Sterling scored dual goals

Liverpool dominated the first half thanks to goals from Sterling ('20) and Marković ('27). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Sterling in the 51st minute.
