THE VALLEY, Aug. 12, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : Charlton Athletic defeated Colchester United by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.

Charlton Athletic dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Belgian midfielder Yoni Buyens in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Addicks further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Wilson '54, '59 and Church '89).
