OLDHAM, Aug. 12, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : Middlesbrough defeated Oldham Athletic by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Middlesbrough dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by L. Williams in the 30th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Smoggies further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Leadbitter '48 and Kike '60).
