MANCHESTER, Oct. 29, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : Newcastle defeated Manchester City by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup fourth round on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Jamaican midfielder Rolando Aarons in the 6th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sissoko in the 75th minute.
