Man Utd beats Southampton 3-2 to win League Cup

LONDON, Feb. 26, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Manchester United claimed the League Cup crown with a 3-2 win against Southampton (halftime: 2-1) in the final on Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium.

Manchester United dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ibrahimovic ('19) and Lingard ('38). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Red Devils further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Ibrahimovic with just 3 minutes remaining in regulation time.
