League Cup 2016-17 : Oxford beats Birmingham City 1-0 in extra time to qualify for next round
Aug. 9, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Oxford United defeated Birmingham City 1-0 after extra time, in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
The score was still nil-all after the 90 minutes of regulation time and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. In the 120th minute, it was ultimately Sercombe Liam who brought the Boys from Up the Hill to victory by scoring the winning goal.
