League Cup 2016-17 : Carlisle beats Port Vale 2-1 to qualify for next round

Aug. 9, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Carlisle United defeated Port Vale by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.

Carlisle United dominated the first half thanks to goals from Wyke Charlie ('27) and Miller Tom ('41). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Cumbrians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
