Aug. 9, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Blackburn Rovers defeated Mansfield Town by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Stokes Anthony scored dual goals
Blackburn Rovers dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Stokes Anthony in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rovers further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Duffy Shane '54 and Stokes Anthony '55).
