League Cup 2016-17 : MK Dons beats Newport 3-2 to qualify for next round
Aug. 9, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Milton Keynes Dons defeated Newport County by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 0-1), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Bowditch Dean scored dual goals
Newport County had started off well by taking the lead in the 31st minute with a goal by Jackson Marlon. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Dons nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Bowditch Dean '63 on penalty, '90 and Tilney Ben '70).
