League Cup 2016-17 : Peterborough beats AFC Wimbledon 3-2 to qualify for next round

Aug. 9, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Peterborough United defeated AFC Wimbledon by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 0-1), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.

Nichols Tom scored dual goals

AFC Wimbledon had started off well by taking the lead in the 34th minute with a goal by Whelpdale Chris. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Posh nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Nichols Tom '64, '90 and Taylor Paul '68).
