League Cup 2016-17 : Leeds United beats Fleetwood in shoot out to qualify for next round
Aug. 10, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Leeds United defeated Fleetwood Town on penalties 5-4, after the match ended 2-2 in regulation time, in the League Cup first round on Wednesday night.
The score was still 2-2 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Holloway Aaron ('13) and Hunter Ashley ('111) for Fleetwood Town and Antonsson Marcus ('89) and Wood Chris ('94 on penalty) for Leeds United. The Whites finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 5-4.
