Oct. 25, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Newcastle defeated Preston by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 2-0), in the League Cup fourth round on Tuesday night.

Mitrovic Aleksandar and Diame Mohamed scored dual goals

Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mitrovic Aleksandar ('19) and Diame Mohamed ('38). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Ritchie Matt '53/penalty, Mitrovic Aleksandar '55, Diame Mohamed '87 and Perez Ayoze '90).
