League Cup 2016-17 : Blackburn beats Crewe 4-3 in extra time to qualify for next round
Aug. 23, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Blackburn Rovers defeated Crewe Alexandra 4-3 after extra time, in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night.
The score was still 3-2 for Blackburn Rovers at the end of overtime, when an unexpected goal from Dagnall Chris in the 93rd minute allowed Crewe Alexandra to equalize and just squeeze through to overtime. In the 97th minute, it was ultimately Duffy Shane who brought Rovers to victory by scoring the winning goal.
