League Cup 2016-17 : Derby County beats Carlisle in shoot out to qualify for next round
Aug. 23, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Derby County defeated Carlisle United on penalties 14-13, after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time, in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night.
The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Bent Darren ('56) for Derby County and Jones Mike ('90) for Carlisle United. The Rams finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 14-13.
