Aug. 23, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Newcastle defeated Cheltenham Town by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night.
Perez Ayoze scored dual goals
Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Perez Ayoze in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Perez Ayoze in the 47th minute.
