League Cup 2016-17 : Gillingham beats Watford 2-1 in extra time to qualify for next round
Aug. 23, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Gillingham defeated Watford 2-1 after extra time, in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night.
The score was still 1-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Ighalo Odion ('57) for Watford and Byrne Mark ('82) for Gillingham, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. In the 102nd minute, it was ultimately Dack Bradley who brought the Gills to victory by scoring the winning goal.
