SOUTHAMPTON, Jan. 11, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Southampton defeated Liverpool by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a semifinals on Wednesday night at the St Mary's Stadium in Southampton.

All the action happened in the first half, with Redmond Nathan goal in the 20th minute.

The second leg between Southampton and Liverpool will be played on Wednesday January 25, 2017 (kick-off: 20:00) in Liverpool.
