Sep. 21, 2016 (AMP) — League Cup 2016-17 : Southampton defeated Crystal Palace by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup third round on Wednesday night.
Southampton dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Austin Charlie in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Saints further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Hesketh Jake in the 63rd minute.
