Man City beats Leicester in shoot out to advance to League Cup semifinals

LEICESTER, Dec. 19, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Manchester City reached the semifinals of the League Cup after defeating Leicester 4-3 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw) on Tuesday night at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Bernardo Silva ('26) for Manchester City and Jamie Vardy ('90 on penalty) for Leicester. The Citizens finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-3.
