Chelsea beats Bournemouth to advance to League Cup semifinals

LONDON, Dec. 20, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Chelsea reached the semifinals of the League Cup with a 2-1 win against Bournemouth (halftime: 1-0) on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge in London.

Chelsea dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Willian in the 13th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blues further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Morata in stoppage time.
