LONDON, Aug. 8, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Brentford defeated AFC Wimbledon 3-1 after extra time, in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
The score was still 1-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Robinson ('25) for AFC Wimbledon and Sawyers ('69) for Brentford, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. The Bees finally broke through with goals from Watkins ('105) and Shaibu ('119).
