League Cup 2017-18 : Carlisle beats Fleetwood 2-1 in extra time to qualify for next round
FLEETWOOD, Aug. 8, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Carlisle United defeated Fleetwood Town 2-1 after extra time, in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
The score was still 1-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from S. Miller ('22) for Carlisle United and Hiwula ('69) for Fleetwood Town, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. In the 101st minute, it was ultimately T. Miller who brought the Cumbrians to victory by scoring the winning goal.
