LUTON, Aug. 8, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Ipswich Town defeated Luton Town by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
David McGoldrick scored dual goals
Ipswich Town dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward David McGoldrick in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Tractor Boys further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by McGoldrick in stoppage time.
