League Cup 2017-18 : Forest beats Shrewsbury 2-1 to qualify for next round
NOTTINGHAM, Aug. 8, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Nottingham Forest defeated Shrewsbury Town by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Nottingham Forest dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gambian forward Mustapha Carayol in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cummings in the 75th minute.
