WIGAN, Aug. 8, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Wigan Athletic defeated Blackpool by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in the League Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Wigan Athletic dominated the first half thanks to goals from Laurent ('17) and Flores ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Latics further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
