League Cup 2017-18 : Bolton Wanderers beats Crewe 2-1 to qualify for next round
CREWE, Aug. 9, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Bolton Wanderers defeated Crewe Alexandra by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in the League Cup first round on Wednesday night at Gresty Road in Crewe.
Crewe Alexandra had started off well by taking the lead in the 42nd minute with a goal by Porter. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Trotters nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Armstrong '70 and Derik '81).
