CARDIFF, Aug. 22, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Burton Albion defeated Cardiff City by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Burton Albion dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Naylor in the 26th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Brewers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Fox in the 70th minute.
