LEEDS, Aug. 22, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Leeds United defeated Newport County by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 1-1), in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night.

Roofe scored tripple goals

Labadie opened the score in the 33rd minute, before seeing Leeds United catch up in the 44th minute thanks to Roofe. 1-1 at half time. The Whites eventually won the game in the second period with four more goals by Roofe ('49, '65), Sáiz ('78) and Vieira ('89).
