NEWCASTLE, Aug. 23, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Nottingham Forest defeated Newcastle 3-2 after extra time, in the League Cup second round on Wednesday night at St James' Park in Newcastle.

The score was still 2-2 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Mitrović ('3) and Rolando Aarons ('45) for Newcastle and Cummings ('29, '31) for Nottingham Forest, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. In the 97th minute, it was ultimately Walker who brought the Reds to victory by scoring the winning goal.
