BURNLEY, Sep. 19, 2017 (AMP) — League Cup 2017-18 : Leeds United defeated Burnley on penalties 5-3, after the match ended 2-2 in regulation time, in the League Cup third round on Tuesday night at Turf Moor in Burnley.
The score was still 2-2 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Sacko Hadi ('80) and Hernandez Pablo ('90 on penalty) for Leeds United and Wood Chris ('89 on penalty) and Brady Robbie ('90) for Burnley. The Whites finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 5-3.
