BRISBANE, Oct. 4, 1998 (AMP) — Australia 1998 : The Fiji secured the consolation of third place at the 1998 OFC Nations Cup with a 4-2 win against Tahiti (halftime: 4-0) on Sunday at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

The Fiji dominated the first half thanks to goals from Masi ('26, '31), Lal ('28) and Seruvatu ('43). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Fijians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
