PAPEETE, Jun. 25, 2000 (AMP) — Tahiti 2000 : New Zealand reached the OFC Nations Cup final for the third time in their history with a 2-0 win against the Solomon Islands (halftime: 0-0) on Sunday at the Stade Pater in Papeete.
Simon Elliott scored dual goals
45 minutes of play and neither the New Zealanders nor the Solomon Islanders have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with two goals by New Zealand midfielder Simon Elliott at '51 and '55.
