New Zealand beats Vanuatu to reach OFC Nations Cup final
AUCKLAND, Jul. 12, 2002 (AMP) — New Zealand 2002 : New Zealand reached the OFC Nations Cup final for the fourth time in their history with a 3-0 win against Vanuatu (halftime: 2-0) on Friday at the Ericsson Stadium in Auckland.
Burton scored dual goals
New Zealand dominated the first half thanks to goals from Burton ('13) and Killen ('23). Leading 2-0 at the break, the New Zealanders further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Burton in the 65th minute.
