ADELAIDE, Jun. 6, 2004 (AMP) — Australia 2004 : New Zealand defeated the Fiji by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game (Final Tournament) on Sunday at the Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide.
New Zealand dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Bunce in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the New Zealanders further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Coveny in the 56th minute.
