ADELAIDE, Jun. 6, 2004 (AMP) — Australia 2004 : The Solomon Islands tied 2-2 with Australia (halftime: 1-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game (Final Tournament) on Sunday at the Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide.
The Solomon Islanders started off well by taking the lead thanks to Menapi in the 43rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Menapi goal ('75) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Australia with goals by Tim Cahill ('50) and Brett Emerton ('52).
