ADELAIDE, Jun. 6, 2004 (AMP) — Australia 2004 : Tahiti defeated Vanuatu by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game (Final Tournament) on Sunday at the Marden Sports Complex in Adelaide.
Iwai opened the score in the 23rd minute, before seeing Tahiti catch up in the 40th minute thanks to Temataua. 1-1 at half time. The Tahitians eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Wajoka with one minute left in regular time.
