SYDNEY, Oct. 12, 2004 (AMP) — Australia 2004 : Australia defeated the Solomon Islands by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 2-0), in the second leg of a final on Tuesday at the Sydney Football Stadium.
Australia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Milicic ('5) and Kewell ('8). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Australians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Vidmar '60, Thompson '79, Elrich '82 and Emerton '89).
