New Zealand beats Papua New Guinea in shoot out to win 2016 OFC Nations Cup
PORT MORESBY, Jun. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Papua New Guinea 2016 : New Zealand claimed a fifth OFC Nations Cup crown after defeating Papua New Guinea 4-2 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) in the final on Saturday afternoon at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
The score was still nil-all at the end of the regulation game time and overtime. The New Zealanders finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-2.
