Brazil beats Colombia to advance to Olympics semifinals
SãO PAULO, Aug. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Rio 2016 : Brazil reached the semifinals of the 2016 Olympics with a 2-0 win against Colombia (halftime: 1-0) on Saturday night at the Arena Corinthians in São Paulo.
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Neymar in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Luan with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
