Olympics 2016 : Nigeria beats Honduras 3-2 to claim Olympics third place
BELO HORIZONTE, Aug. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Rio 2016 : Nigeria secured the consolation of third place at the 2016 Olympics with a 3-2 win against Honduras (halftime: 1-0) on Saturday afternoon at the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte.
Sadiq scored dual goals
Nigeria dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Sadiq in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Nigerians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Umar '49 and Sadiq '56).
