GERMANY, Aug. 8, 2014 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 2: Fortuna Düsseldorf was held to a 1-1 draw by Union Berlin on Friday.

Fortuna Düsseldorf players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Austrian midfielder Michael Liendl in the 35th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Union Berlin with a saving goal from Croatian midfielder Damir Kreilach in the 64th minute.

Fortuna Düsseldorf are down in 7th place with 2 points from 2 games, one point behind SV Darmstadt 98 and 1. FC Nürnberg.
