Eintracht Braunschweig opened the score in the score in the 29th minute thanks to Jan Hochscheidt, before SV Sandhausen regained the advantage with Hübner ('31) and Wooten ('41). Leading 2-1 at the break, SV Sandhausen players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bouhaddouz in the 65th minute.
