FC Nürnberg midfielder Sebastian Kerk opened the score in the 3rd minute, before seeing Karlsruher SC catch up in the 43rd minute thanks to Jonas Meffert. 1-1 at half time. KSC eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Torres with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
