BAGHDAD, Apr. 4, 1975 (AMP) — Iran 1976 (Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia defeated Qatar by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 1976 AFC Asian Cup on Friday.
The result put the Saudi second in Group 2 with 6 points. Qatar is third with no points. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet group leaders Iraq on April 6, while Qatar will face Afghanistan.
