SINGAPORE, Jul. 7, 1996 (AMP) — Emirates 1996 (Qualifiers) : Thailand defeated Burma by a big score of 7-1 (halftime: 7-1), in a qualifying game for the 1996 AFC Asian Cup on Sunday.

The result put the Thai top of Group 3 with 13 points. Burma is third with 4 points. In their last game, Thailand will meet second-placed Singapore on July 9, while Burma will face the Maldives.
