TEHRAN, Nov. 12, 2003 (AMP) — China 2004 (Qualifiers) : Iran defeated North Korea by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 AFC Asian Cup on Wednesday.
The result put the Iranians top of Group D with 9 points. North Korea is bottom with one point. In their next game, Iran will meet third-placed Lebanon on November 19, while North Korea will face Jordan.
