TURKMENISTAN, Nov. 12, 2003 (AMP) — China 2004 (Qualifiers) : Turkmenistan defeated Sri Lanka by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 AFC Asian Cup on Wednesday.
The result put the Turkmens top of Group G with 10 points. Sri Lanka is bottom with no points. In their next game, Turkmenistan will meet second-placed Syria on November 28, while Sri Lanka will face the United Arab Emirates.
