SANA'A, Sep. 6, 2006 (AMP) — Southeast Asia 2007 (Qualifiers) : Japan defeated Yemen by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup on Wednesday afternoon.

The result put the Japanese top of Group A with 9 points. Yemen is third with 3 points. In their next game, Japan will meet India on October 11, while Yemen will face Saudi Arabia.
